In France, more than 1 work accidents are linked to a collision between a pedestrian and an industrial vehicle are recorded each year. The average direct cost of a death related to an accident at work for a company is estimated at €000 in France and the indirect costs (training of the new entrant, loss of productivity, the cost of the administrative processing of the claim, material cost to repair etc…) would be 600 to 000 times higher than the direct costs. To address these issues, Franck Gayraud and Patrick Mansuy created Arcure in 3. The result of nearly 5 years of research within the CEA and 2009 years of development work within the Company, Arcure develops intelligent vision systems intended for use in harsh environments such as urban construction sites, warehouses or even industrial sites.
Arcure products use technology based on machine learning and 3D vision allowing its cameras to detect pedestrians and obstacles and warn the driver to avoid collisions.
Blaxtair (marketed since 2011) and Omega (marketed in 2019) cameras are installed on industrial machinery (forklifts, backhoe loaders, industrial cranes, etc.). They scan the environment in real time and allow the detection of both human and material obstacles. They thus improve the safety and productivity of workers while being robust.
Blaxtair®, its flagship product has become a standard in its markets and sold nearly 12 units in more than 000 countries. The company thus achieved a turnover of €30m and had 10.4 employees at the end of 60.
Based on a modular and easy-to-implement design, the company democratizes access to automation by offering a range of Plug-and-Carry® intelligent modular conveyors for light and heavy loads as well as a system Plug-and-Store® robotic storage. Led by a team of 55 people, including a third in design offices and R&D, BOA Concept is based on the values of Flexibility, Responsiveness and Innovation
