ENERTIME, French company of "CleanTech" in the service of industrial energy efficiency and decentralized renewable energy production announces that its subsidiary Energie Circulaire has been selected by ADEME for a grant for the realization of a project of valorization of the fatal heat of the Verallia factory in Lagnieu in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.
This selection comes under the IndusEE call for projects initiated by the Government in 2020 as part of the plan to revive and decarbonise French industry. This represents a major step in the realization of the project which remains subject to regulatory authorization and technical and contractual validation between Energie Circulaire and Verallia.
The project aims to use the waste heat from the manufacturing process of glass containers at the Verallia plant in Lagnieu in compressed air, by direct coupling of the Rankine Organic Cycle (ORC) machine with an air compressor. This technique would make it possible to recover the energy contained in the fumes, now released into the atmosphere after treatment, at a temperature of 350 ° C. The installation of an Enertime ORC unit coupled to an air compressor with an equivalent nominal power of 1,8 MW could directly produce a volume of compressed air equivalent to 35% of the current air consumption. tablet from the factory. Moreover, with this technology, the consumption of natural gas dedicated to heating buildings and producing domestic hot water for the plant could be eliminated. This project, which would reduce specific electricity consumption per tonne of glass produced by 15%, is part of a strong initiative by the Verallia Group which aims to reduce its CO2 emissions by 27,5% over the period 2019- 2030.
The project is supported and developed by Energie Circulaire, Enertime's energy efficiency service subsidiary, and should be delivered turnkey by Enertime. This would validate Enertime's growth strategy through the offer of its subsidiary Energie Circulaire.
Gilles David, CEO of ENERTIME, declares: “ This project is the first project won by our subsidiary Energie Circulaire and should be followed by a long series. It also consolidates the expertise already gained in Thailand in the field of heat recovery on glass furnaces. »
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE INDUSEE CALL FOR PROJECTS
The France Relance Plan aims to accelerate the ecological conversion of the French economy and its productive fabric. The French government has allocated 1,2 billion euros in subsidies by 2022 to improve energy efficiency, develop manufacturing processes and decarbonize heat production in French industry. The IndusEE call for projects was launched by ADEME within the framework of this Plan. This call for projects and two other similar consultations benefit from an envelope of
200 million euros which will be allocated no later than the first quarter of 2021. A second wave of this call for projects is scheduled for 2021. Information is available on the ADEME website https://www.ademe.fr/decarbonation-lindustrie
