Grégoire Sentilhes was Chief Executive Officer of Screaming Media, a company that provides syndicated value-added content. The company was introduced on the NASDAQ market in 2000 and recently merged with CBS Market Watch. Prior to this, he was based in New York as marketing Vice President for the world in the e-commerce division of the German group Bertelsmann. Before that, he was co-founder and CEO of the online division of the Lagardère group in Paris from 1993 to 1996. He is a successful investor in unlisted businesses in France, Spain, the US, and China: four of his fifteen investments have been listed on the stock market. A former student at ISG Business School, he studied at Université Paris-Dauphine. He was a member of the France III sailing team, the French challenger for the America’s Cup. He is a member of the steering committee of the government-backed initiative France Investissement, and co-founder and Chairman of the nonprofit organization Les Journées de l'Entrepreneur. In 2010, he became Chairman of the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit (G20 YES).

Jean-David Haas

Jean-David Haas was previously a high-yield credit analyst at Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC), and an investment banking analyst at Merrill Lynch in New York. He was also financial controller at Netvalue, a company specialized in audience measurement on the Internet (now a member of the VNU - Nielsen NetRatings group), where he negotiated two financing rounds of $1 million and $13 million prior to floating the company on the Paris Nouveau Marché (funds raised: $50 million). Jean-David Haas is a former student of EMLYON Business School. He co-founded NextStage AM in 2002 with Grégoire Sentilhes.

Vincent Bazi is Managing Partner, Director for listed securities management at the investment company NextStage AM. He has over 20 years of experience in European equities (in particular mid-cap stocks) gained as a financial analyst (Cheuvreux and JP Morgan), then as head of French equities research (ING Baring and Schroders), and finally as head of European equities sales to institutional clients (Oddo, then Dexia).

Vincent Bazi is a Certified International Wealth Manager of SFAF, the French Society of Financial Analysts. He has been a member of SFAF since 1992, and is chairman of its international development commission and a professor in its teaching center. He is also Chairman of the World Pensions Council, director of the Association of International Wealth Managers, and a member of the Financial Skills Certification Board of the French financial regulator (Autorité des Marchés Financiers). He is a graduate of Sciences Po and Columbia Business School, a former student at ESSEC Business School (in the Institut de la Transmission d’Entreprise), and holds a French DEA degree in Management Sciences from the Université de Paris.

Nicolas de Saint Etienne

Nicolas de Saint Etienne was previously Investment Director at Exitis within Crédit Agricole Private Equity. Before that, he worked in the legal and tax department of Crédit Agricole Private Equity, where he was active in the securitization of investments and divestments in the various private equity segments. Prior to that, he developed his entrepreneurial skills within NetValue, the European leader in audience measurement on the Internet, as head of legal affairs and human resources. He was involved in numerous projects, from the preparation of the firm's stock market flotation in 1999 to the trade sale to Nielsen NetRatings (The Nielsen Company) in 2002. He holds a master's degree in Business Law.

Aloys de Fontaines

Aloys de Fontaines joined NextStage AM in June 2008. He has since supported 15 companies in the portfolio, backing their development projects, in particular through the realization of more than 20 acquisitions. Aloys is a member of the supervisory board of Vulcain Group, HTI group and of Lease Protect.

Aloys previously worked at JP Morgan in Paris in Mergers & Acquisitions in the segment focusing on small-cap and family-owned companies, and at Oddo Securities as a financial analyst for mid-caps. Aloys is a graduate of the EMLYON business school.

Julien Potier joined NextStage AM in January 2011. He has since supported 12 companies in the portfolio, such as STPI, Greenflex, PEI, Resto-In and Arma+ in achieving their development projects, through organic growth and acquisitions, in France but also internationally, particularly in innovative industrial fields, with the expansion in a dozen of new countries worldwide.

Before joining NextStage AM, Julien worked for 4 years in Mergers & Acquisitions at Merrill Lynch, London. Prior to that, he worked at Ernst & Young, then within the financial and strategic team of the AXA group. Julien is a graduate of EDHEC Business School and Maastricht University (MSc International Business).

Michael Strauss Kahn

Michaël Strauss-Kahn joined NextStage AM in May 2009. He has since been in charge of 14 companies in the portfolio, including companies carrying operations abroad and international expansion strategies such as the Trace group, Kxen, Gruau and Lonsdale. He has worked closely alongside entrepreneurs and within the governance bodies of their companies to support them in achieving significant acquisitions, developing new activities, expanding internationally and promoting innovation, such as for Cap Cinema, Acorus, Port Adhoc, etc.

Before joining NextStage, Michaël worked at Lazard in Paris in Mergers & Acquisitions, in particular for Private Equity Funds. He previously gained experience in consulting and finance at Booz Allen Hamilton, then at Calyon Financial in Chicago. He is an alumnus of Audencia and of the University of Cincinnati.

Enzo joined NextStage AM's investment team in 2016 as an analyst after 6 months of trading experience at Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank (CA-CIB). He is in charge of studying multisectoral investment opportunities.


Enzo is a graduate of SKEMA Business School (MSc Corporate Finance), holder of the CIIA (Certified International Investment Analyst), member of SFAF (Société Française des Analystes Financiers). He holds a law degree from the University of Paris-II Panthéon-Assas.

Olivier Charousset joined the Investment team of Nextstage AM as Associate in 2017.

Olivier holds a Master’s Degree in Law specialising in Business and Corporate Law as well as a professional diploma in project management and I.T. administration. He was head of Information Technology and International Relations at the French Society of Financial Analysts for over 15 years and has helped organise the annual World Pensions Forum conferences since 2010. He is a specialist of the digital, I.T. services & software sector and holder of the CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst) diploma. He holder of the CIIA (Certified International Investment Analyst).

Bastien joined the NextStage AM investment team in June 2017 after working as an analyst for a Large Cap investment fund specialized in Luxury Goods in Geneva (€70m assets under management) in 2016 and as a project finance analyst for the Henkel Group (€20bn turnover in 2018) for 6 months in 2015.

Bastien graduated from Skema Business School (Master Corporate Finance) and passed the CFA Level 2 exam in 2016.

Joining NextStage in 2018, Amélie Focione holds the positions of Executive Assistant and Project Manager within the non-listed investment team.

After a master's degree in comparative literature, she joined the Dutch office of Nichia, leader in LEDs, and became Business Developer for the automotive and French markets. In 2009, she joined Essilor Europe, where her main role is assistant of the President and coordinator of the group's European events. In 2016, she joins VINCI Energies as Executive Assistant to the Director of Innovation.
