The Company

Fountaine Pajot is the 3rd largest player in the world in the market for sail and motor catamarans. A pioneer in the sailable catamaran market since 1983, it has created a previously unexplored market and since 1998 has been paving the way for the fast-growing motor catamaran market, thanks to its great capacity for innovation.
Over the past 40 years, the shipyard has designed, produced and marketed more than 2,500 catamarans and has launched more than 38 models to date. With an international reputation, a modern industrial tool and a large distribution network, Fountaine Pajot has experienced annual growth of more than 20% in its turnover for the second consecutive year.
A company listed on Alternext since 2007, Fountaine Pajot is controlled by the holding company La Compagnie du Catamaran, which is majority owned by the Fountaine family.

In charge of marketing and development since 2014. Romain Motteau joined Fountaine Pajot in 2007 as a sales representative, then as a major export manager. Since 2008, he has been the key figure in Fountaine Pajot’s international business development, building a network of more than 65 dealerships, particularly in the most dynamic and fast-growing regions of the world.

Nicolas Gardies

A graduate of ESC Rouen and with 15 years’ experience in audit, management control (at Ducros) and financial management (at Carlo Erba Reactifs), he joined Fountaine Pajot in 2003 as CFO before being appointed Deputy CEO in 2009. Thanks to his involvement in the development of the company and his relationship of trust with the Fountaine family, he now manages the company.

Co-founder of the company in 1976, Jean-François Fountaine has been mayor of La Rochelle since April 2014.

Since mid-2014, Claire has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fountaine Pajot and continues to support the company’s commercial development by bringing legitimacy to the brand through her experience.
